By using the Contribtr Services (website or App), it means that you have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy and you agree to be BOUND by its CONDITIONS OF USE (explained below), PRIVACY POLICY and all DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY that appear herein or elsewhere on the Contribtr website. The term “you”, “user or users” and “your” reference the person who uses our services, while “we”, “us”, “our”, and “the company” refer to Contribtr and its associates.
Contribtr reserves the right to make changes to the Contribtr Services (website or App), its (i)Conditions of Use, (ii)Privacy Policy (iii)Savings & Contribution Policy and (iv)Pricing Policy, or any other process or policy at any time without advance notice (i, ii, iii and iv, are all available on the Contribtr website). Each time you use the Contribtr services(website or App), you should visit and review the current Conditions of Use, Privacy, Savings & Withdrawal, and Pricing Policies that apply to your transactions and use of the Contribtr App or website. If you are dissatisfied with the Contribtr website, it’s content or Conditions of Use, and you agree that your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Contribtr App or website. Tampering with contents, misrepresenting the identity of a user, or conducting any fraudulent activities on the App or website is prohibited.
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers
By using the Contribtr App, you expressly agree that use of the App is at your sole risk. The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Neither Contribtr, nor any of its associates (including but not limited to its directors, employees, designers, or merchants) warrant that use of the Contribtr App or website will be uninterrupted or error-free. Under no circumstances shall Contribtr or its associates be liable for any indirect, direct, special, incidential or consequential damages that result from your use of, or inability to use the Contribtr App, including but not limited to your reliance, on any information obtained from our website or App that results in mistakes, interruption, omissions, corruption, or deletion of files, viruses, delays in transmission or operation, or any failure of performance. The foregoing limitation shall apply in any action, whether in contract, tort or any other claim, even if we or any of our associates should have knowledge of or has been advised of the possibility of such damages. You hereby acknowledge that this paragraph shall apply to all services and contents available through the Cotribtr website or App.
Terms Of Use
By using any of our services, you agree to the following terms of use:
- That you’re a Nigerian citizen or a legal Nigerian resident of at least 18yrs old.
- To provide all requested information such as may be required during signup and profiling (not limited to Name, Address, phone number, Email, BVN, Bank Account, Debit card details, and such other information as we may request from time to time.
- That all personal information provided is accurate, error-free, and devoid of any intention to mislead or defraud other users and/or the company.
- To promptly notify us of any changes to your Personal Information by updating your account on our App, provided, however, that you must notify us at least three Business Days before any changes to your Bank Account information, including, but not limited to, the closure of your Bank Account for any reason whatsoever.
- You hereby authorize us to, directly or through a third-party, verify, obtain, and record information and documentation that helps us verify your identity and Bank Account information for our compliance purposes.
- Every user of our services may only operate one account with us. Contribtr has the right to close multiple accounts under the same name or different names.
- If we have reasonable grounds to believe that multiple accounts (also under different names) have been opened with the intention of defrauding the other participants, we retain the right to cancel any transaction related to the said fraud attempt.
- Every user will create a unique username and password which will be a secret. Where your username and password have been entered correctly, all resulting transactions will be regarded as valid whether or not they have been authorized by you.
- Users reserve the right to request for the closing of their account by contacting our customer service team through any of our platforms. The effective closure of the account will translate to the termination of the Terms of Use.
- A closed Account may be reopened when the owner expressly requested it and gets approval from the Company. In such situations, he/she will be subjected to the Terms of Use that are enforced at the date of re-opening.
- You will not receive interest or other earnings on the funds in your Contribtr account. You permanently transfer and assign to Contribtr, any, and all rights that you may have to any interest that may accrue on the funds in your Contribtr account.
Pricing Policy
Contribtr may charge a convenience fee for payout services. Other services may be offered at no additional charge from Contribtr. However, all convenience fees are subject to change after due notification on our website or through other of our communication channels.
Savings, Contribution, and Payout Policy
- You agreed to tender a valid Debit card from which your fixed contribution or savings amount will be charged as at when due. This implies that the debit card which you provided will have sufficient balance to carter for your savings/contribution needs.
- You also agreed to provide an active bank account for your savings/contribution payout collections.
- That the debit card which you provided will be used for charging your savings/contribution deposits, while the bank account you tendered will be used for collecting your payouts.
- Where the debit card you provided doesn’t have sufficient balance for your deposit, the system automatically placed that contribution series on hold pending when you have sufficient balance on your debit card to continue.
- A contribution series can be truncated and terminated at the collective request of the participants. Such request shall be made by sending us an email to our email address as provided below with specific directives on how to refund other participants whose debit cards have been charged for that series.
- The system will charge your debit card with the fixed savings/contribution amount, which you specified when creating the contribution series and credit your bank account with your payouts.
- You can select whether to receive part or full payouts from your contribution series at the point of creating the series by setting the payout percentage to any value of your choice. For full payouts, simply set the payout percentage to 100%.
- In the case of part-payout, the remaining balance will be held at a bank for your benefit and released to the initiator of the series at the end of the series.
- Contribtr App may not be used to make purchases, direct cash withdrawal, third party transfers, or for any other purposes.
- Contribtr is not responsible for any third-party fees that may be incurred as a result of using our services, including, but not limited to, third-party fees incurred as a result of maintaining insufficient funds in your Bank Account.
- We are not a financial adviser, and our services are not intended to provide financial advice. Your financial situation is unique. We do not undertake the responsibility of ensuring that your debit card/Bank account has sufficient funds for your needs or transactions.
- We do not make any representations, warranties, or guarantees of any kind that our services are appropriate for you. Before using our services, you should consider obtaining additional information and advice from a financial adviser.
